Protein Packed Vegetables!

Protein is an important macro-nutrient that comes from many sources. Even if you aren’t vegan, getting vegetable protein can make a big difference in your health and you don’t have to give up meat completely. Plant-based doesn’t mean going meat free. It is always good to get a variety of foods because we get different nutrients from different foods. Especially with plants, we can get protein and a larger variety of vitamins and minerals just not found in meat.

Did you know that green peas pack 8 grams of protein per cup? The same with a russet potato. That may not sound like much but when you add it to other higher protein sources, you get a lot!!
