Change “I Can’t” To “I Won’t”!

Words matter. We hear this so much today for many different reasons. Today, class, I want to talk about how you are phrasing your self-talk.

I don’t think you have to look in a mirror and give yourself a pep talk to be successful in your health journey, but what you say can make a difference. People tell me all the time how they can’t have a salad for lunch, or they can’t get up early and go for a walk.

Try changing “I can’t” to “I won’t” and see if that sounds/feels any different.

I won’t have a salad for lunch or I won’t get up early and go for a walk sound very different than I can’t. Granted, these are just words and we certainly have to put the action in as well, but starting with this change can make a difference.

January is the month of making resolutions. Make this years resolution to simply get rid of your excuses and see how that changes what happens with your health!

Until next time…
