Make no mistake, bigger hospitals do not mean things are good. This was going on long before the big pandemic! Hospitals were growing at a rapid pace to keep up with the declining health overall in this country. Again, not a good thing!
There is so much talk right now about doing the right thing for your neighbor. The list includes wearing a mask, using sanitizer, staying 6 feet apart and no big gatherings. In my very humble opinion, many things are left off this list that will do so much for our neighbors, including keeping them safe from the deadly pandemic.
Here are a few things from my short list that will do so much more…again, in my very humble opinion.
- Change to a more plant-based diet. You don’t have to go full vegan, but research shows plant-based diets can help the immune system.
- Go for a walk. You don’t have to be a marathon runner to be healthy!
- Lose 10 pounds…or more if needed. Losing weight, and keeping it off, is essential to being healthy. Excess weight leads to many other, more serious, health issues. Most people in the US could stand to lose 10.
- Encourage others to do the above. Bring a friend an together you can help each other!
What will this do for your neighbor? As we become healthier, the cost of health care will organically go down. Those bigger hospitals will be useless because there won’t be as much need for them. This is a good business to see decline! And, as we help our immune system, we won’t be as fearful of viruses because our bodies will be able to fight them off!
Look, I’m not saying there is no virus. On the contrary, we will always have viruses to fight off. It just depends on how healthy we are that determines how we react.
