Do You Feel Like Every Workout Is Geared For Fanatics?

Social media has changed the way trainers get the “health and wellness” message out. This is good and bad. Mostly what we see is the hard-core fitness people who have low body fat and are doing sometimes outrageous workouts and exercises. Many times when I see this I wonder who is trying to mimic the exercise? How many people get injured because they aren’t ready for that level or it just isn’t a good, safe workout?

There is no denying that we have to challenge ourselves with daily exercise. There isn’t one magic routine or diet that will cure all. However, a vast majority of people just want to live a better quality of life. What they have to learn is, while they are changing habits, even slowly, how they look will change as well. And, you don’t have to beat yourself up at the gym to reach those goals!

As I have talked about many times, we could change the cost of healthcare by doing the simple workouts, not the extreme. And by making simple changes to the diet.

  1. Be active everyday. Could be a simple walk.
  2. Get more fruits and vegetables in your diet. Your health would change drastically if you substituted an apple or banana for a candy bar. Adding Juice Plus would bridge that gap as well!
  3. Strength train 3 times a week. You don’t have to be a bodybuilder to gain from strength training.
  4. Keep your legs strong.
  5. Get good sleep.
  6. Drink plenty of water but don’t overdo it.
  7. Prep food to have healthy choices available.
  8. Realize you aren’t the only person who has to do the above to be healthy.

With the pandemic, and any future pandemics our government has already promised us, it is more important now to take steps for our health. No one else will.
