Potatoes have long had a bad rap however we consume a lot everyday. As I have said for coffee, what we put into it is what makes coffee unhealthy. The same goes for potatoes. Usually we fry them or top it with butter and sour cream, maybe cheese. They way you prepare them, along with what is added, makes a big difference in what they do to our bodies.
