Isn’t it interesting how the media chooses their words when it comes to the vaccine.
Steven Crowder brought this up from the BBC. Then proceeded to point out saying 1/3 of confirmed cases are unvaccinated is a weird way of saying 2/3 are vaccinated…read that again.
I didn’t believe this was actually in print so I pulled it up from The BBC for you and I’ll put the most important points here.
A third of people with confirmed Covid cases in Wales in the past week were unvaccinated, according to new figures released by Public Health Wales.
The figures also showed 99% of people who tested positive for Covid in the past week in Wales were under 60. Of these, 37% were unvaccinated.
Nearly 13% of hospital patients with confirmed Covid were unvaccinated.
PHW said the vaccines had helped keep Covid hospital numbers much lower during the third wave.
Although 80% of patients have been double-dosed with a vaccine, public health officials said this is not evidence that the vaccine is not working – and that vaccines keep 95% of people out of hospital.
Without its protection, the numbers in hospital would be far greater, they added.
13% OF HOSPITAL PATIENTS WITH CONFIRMED COVID WERE UNVACCINATED…OR 87% OF HOSPITAL PATIENTS WITH CONFIRMED COVID WERE VACCINATED!
While we are hearing YouTube, and really all state run media, is cracking down on “vaccine misinformation”, will this fall into that category? I doubt that as this is an attempt to manipulate how the stats are told to keep the narrative.
Everyone needs to wake up soon! One thing we all can agree on is we need to be told the truth about all this in order to move forward. And yes, I believe there is a virus.

Yes, we here at EatTheDamnSalad offer a full service of nutrition AND concert reviews! Of course, when you think of health and wellness, the first group that comes to mind is The Rolling Stones. Seriously, when you have 3 members at 78, 77 and 74 years of age and kicking off a tour, you are doing something right!
There are many reasons why they have been around as long as they have and can still fill a stadium. Who else but Mick Jagger could get away with coming to St. Louis, playing in the dome and saying there are a couple of celebrities here tonite, one being Stan Kroenke! Of course he was joking as he knows what is going on. He commented on the Cardinals and the win streak as well as all the St. Louis hotspots they visited. After a touching video memorial to Charlie Watts, The Stones went into hit after hit, really not missing a beat. Jagger jumped around like he was 65! Did I mention they are all 74 and older? And to top it off, when the lights went down everyone, whether you wanted it or not, benefitted from the second hand “medicine” that wafted up to the top seats. Whatever ailments I had are gone today!
IMHO, the biggest thing they did that so many other groups need to learn from is they just PLAYED MUSIC! I don’t know their political positions or who they would have voted for if they were citizens. They didn’t tell us what they thought about wearing masks or getting a vaccine. By the way, many wore masks and many did not, and everyone got along! Although, the above mentioned “medicine” might have something to do with that. I think The Rolling Stones realize we want to hear their music. We get enough of the other stuff every day and are paying money to get away from it all. My advice is if you are in Nashville, Dallas, LA, Vegas or any of the other stops on the tour, try your best to see them. You won’t regret it!
Until next time…You can’t always get what you want AND #eatthedamnsalad

I understand humor as well as mockery. I recently saw a great post put up about not getting the new iPhone 13 because it hasn’t been on the market long enough to know the dangers of using it. The idea was to mock those of us who (gasp) dare to question the vaccine efficacy and safety. I just love those people who are superior with their knowledge and education( I also know sarcasm).
Just to make sure I understand those intellectual giants, here is what is being compared.
If I purchase the iPhone and it doesn’t work the way I want it to, or if it doesn’t work at all the way I was told it would, I can return it. If I do purchase one and others decide that they don’t want one, the functionality of my phone doesn’t change. In other words, my phone will work even if someone else doesn’t get one. If normal usage of the phone affects my health in any way, the maker of the phone would be held responsible. AND if there were many instances of people being hurt by normal usage of the phone, said phone would be pulled from the market.
On the other hand is the vaccine. If I take the vaccine and it doesn’t work the way I was told it would work, I’m stuck with it. For some odd reason, this vaccine will only work if EVERYONE gets it. If you get a side effect, or if many people get side effects, the government pushes a mandate that everyone should get the shot AND they will tell you it is completely safe. SCIENCE! And don’t think for a minute anyone will be held responsible for harmful side effects.
This is just another nonsense comparison around this virus and vaccine from those who try to be clever. Emphasis on try.
I can’t take credit for this but I love the message!
I admit, I’m not what you would call a “risk-taker”. I won’t be jumping out of a plane anytime soon. You won’t find me climbing the side of a cliff or hang gliding (is that still a thing?). I don’t think that doing those things is the definition of living your life. If you enjoy that, more power to you. It just isn’t me.
I heard this sentence in a Sunday sermon of all places. It was the year anniversary of my dads passing and even though the priest was doing a bit of rambling, he came up with this gem. I thought is was so appropriate for what has been going on for the past year and a half, how things have been handled and, moving forward, should be.
One thing the priest said that really made sense is every time we get into a car, whether driving or as a passenger, we are taking a chance on getting hurt or dying. There is a risk yet we don’t think twice about having to use a car to get from one place to another. However if you forget your mask you are really risking your life!
We have one life to live. This doesn’t mean you aren’t going to take precautions or just do one dangerous thing after another. However, living your life, IMHO, isn’t about living in fear and staying “quarantined” because the government tells you that is best. Yes, take precautions when dealing with a virus. As I have said many times before, viruses have been around for a long time and will be around a long time after covid has passed. Avoiding living your life isn’t going to make it any better. We took many precautions during the last summer with my dad around. He knew there was a virus but also knew time was precious. Some may say we didn’t take all the precautions we should have, and that’s fine. We were able to have an incredible time living a life, and wouldn’t change a bit of it.
