Jumping Jacks — A Classic!

An oldie but goodie in the exercise world is the jumping jack. P.E. classes everywhere have used this simple movement to get kids moving. There are always new ways to workout, but some have just stood the test of time and are still effective. Aerobics classes, and even the military, realize the benefit that jumping jacks provide and make it a staple in their routine.
There is the obvious aerobic benefit from doing jumping jacks for 30-60 second intervals, but since you are moving all the muscles in the body, you get to strengthen those muscles! And when doing interval, or circuit, training, it is simple to throw in jumping jacks to give a change. Get this classic move on a daily basis and reap the health benefits!
