Water Running Benefits

I spent a fantastic day at the pool with my youngest daughter and her friend, and since it was an off day for my training I still took the opportunity to do some water running. If you are a competitive runner and have not yet done so, I highly recommend you take this up! Being in the water takes all the impact out of the movement and with the resistance of the water, you will work the muscles of the legs in a way you simply can’t with traditional running. Depending on how challenging you make it you can burn close to 700 cal/hr. That is a huge benefit!
