The simple answer to this is “no, you don’t have to”. No one has to eat healthy and exercise. It is completely a choice we all have to make. I have trained many people who have it in their head that they are the only people who, when they don’t pay attention to what they are eating, will gain weight.
It doesn’t matter who you are, when you don’t eat healthy foods and exercise, you will gain weight! If you go to a gym, look at who you consider to be the healthiest, most fit person there and ask him or her what they eat. I can almost guarantee that they aren’t doing fast food and candy. And they most likely make exercise a part of their day!
Ultimately, the choice is ours. Making the good food choices on a regular basis doesn’t mean you can never have pizza or ice cream ever again. It simply means that a majority of the time you eat the foods that are going to make you healthy and fit, and when you do have something that isn’t the best choice, it isn’t going to ruin everything. No, you don’t HAVE to do this the rest of your life, but if you don’t make good choices it is almost a given that you will battle your weight and have health issues.
Until next time…
